Application Overview
In this application, a FANUC industrial robot automatically picks up a sheet metal box after the bending process and places it onto a conveyor for downstream operations. The system ensures smooth, accurate, and repeatable material transfer while minimizing manual intervention.
The project incorporates a vacuum-based servo gripper mounted on a robot 7th axis system. The gripper length is adjustable from 300 mm to 3000 mm, enabling the handling of components of varying sizes. The automation system is controlled through a Mitsubishi Q-Series PLC with DeviceNet and Profinet communication for seamless integration between robots, conveyors, and plant systems.
